About LCCS

History

Lowcountry Christian Community School (LCCS) was first born in the hearts and prayers of four local families (the Comans, Isaacs, Miles and Niemers) who where seeking educational opportunities for their children that would enhance the moral training they were implementing at home. Dissatisfied with local schooling options, they investigated the community school concept and felt God’s call to create one in the Lowcountry. After 18 months of prayer, preparation and tremendous help from FamilyLife Community School in Florida, LCCS enrolled six eager students into its first kindergarten class in 2006. For the first year, Church of The Holy Cross in Daniel Island, SC graciously donated a room for our classroom. The Lord provided Mrs. Jennie Elverum, an experienced, accredited, mature Christian teacher, to pour knowledge into this future generation of learners. Having outgrown the Holy Cross facility, LCCS is now located at Seacoast Christian Community Church. While LCCS is not affiliated with Seacoast, they generously refurbished and gifted two rooms for LCCS school activities.

Community section

At LCCS, we define our community as the intimate group of families that value like-mindedness with their personal spiritual growth and parental focus. We extend beyond the immediate school families to our like-minded families in the greater Charleston area. We believe for us to remain in GOD’s will with regard to our pursuit of spiritual and academic excellence for our children, we must remain others focused. Jesus said, "If you love each other, everyone will know that you are my disciples." John 13:35
