In Writing With Skill Level 1, students will learn the basics of composition, outlining, sentence skills, beginning literary criticism of poetry and prose, writing narratives and descriptions, and researching and documenting sources. This course will require some independent work at home throughout the week in order for students to fully grasp the concepts and gain all of the skills taught through the course. Course is designed for students in 5th - 8th grade; however, some assignments can be adjusted to fit 4th grade students as well. Course workbooks will be provided. Students will need to provide one spiral notebook for completion of assignment.
